This shirt design represents the perserverence (I MUA) of our Lāhainā community. The Hawai'ian tribal 'Iwa Bird represents survival in the way one would continue to search for nurishment as a means to sustain life. The Four 'Iwa birds represent each side of the Island of Maui, North Maui, East Maui, South Maui and Depicted with a slightly larger size and in yellow, West Maui. West Maui is an injured part of the flock and is being ushered and cared for by the other 'Iwa birds as they all continue to heal and nurish as a whole. All will move forward together and survive together. We humbly thank you for wearing this shirt as a symbol of respect, love and support to Kāko'o (uplift) our Lāhainā people during this long journey.
